Innovation Challenge to Ottawa Engineers and Engineering Students
Road safety of pedestrians is of great importance to city transportation officials. The City of Ottawa recently approved the 2020-2024 Road Safety Action Plan, which is an integrated, comprehensive and proactive strategy for making roads safer for all users.
The Ottawa PEO Innovation team is hosting the fourth challenge to engineers and engineering students in Ottawa to develop new innovative technologies or concepts to address pedestrian safety at road intersections from transportation (trucks, buses, cars and motorcycles). The selected innovators will present to an expert panel of judges and scored on both the details of their technical and business proposal. Monetary awards will be made to the first, second and third place winners.
